Community Vision

To ensure this development reflects the aspirations of Poplar Grove residents, the RDA conducted a comprehensive community engagement process.

  • We attended community council meetings to discuss the site’s potential and gather insight
  • Mailers with a survey in Spanish and English were sent to every address within a mile radius of the property
  • Over 400 responses provided valuable feedback on desired uses, design priorities, and neighborhood needs.

This input has directly informed the RFP, shaping priorities for vibrant ground-floor commercial spaces, sustainable design, and thoughtful integration with the neighborhood’s character. Developers are encouraged to build on this foundation and continue engaging the community as plans take shape.

Development Goals

  • Activate the neighborhood with engaging ground-floor commercial spaces
  • Embrace sustainable development practices in design, construction, and operation
  • Reflect architectural excellence while integrating with the character of Poplar Grove
  • Prioritize community engagement and public benefits, including art installations and neighborhood services
